"modifications have proved troublesome because when people have to tell the truth about their income AND provide documentation there is a real problem. No one saw this coming. What a joke."

S- Oh, I see. Comments taken collectively constitute a conversation. I will have to remember to read them consecutively. :)

Should have known you were too smart to quit your day job.

Kris,

I was quoting Doug Fancis (above). My thought was that you could stumble upon worse things than someone sleeping. that's all.

Unfortunately this is an all too familiar scenario these days. I have become tainted that it is more the norm than not however when dealing with short sales. I will always reflect on one of my first encounters showing a short sale. The female homeowner, who had not one, but TWO GREAT DANES LAYING on the couch with her, proceeded to tell my client and I how she quit her job so she could enjoy some time at home. She had already made the decision to sell her house short, so what was the point of working now? Her “vacation” perplexed and disgusted me. I try not to judge, but after showing a gazillion now, most speak for themselves.

I just didn't realize they were LOOKING FOR fireplaces.

How sad. Unfortunately, this scenario is all to frequent, maybe sans the wood stove. The easy loan money of yesterday kindled the lack of financial good sense in buyers, and we're seeing the results.

If your client chose this neighborhood for a reason, have him wait. This home will probably be available again in a few months, it will be much easier to show and won't have the distractions. BUT, if your market is like some others, he'll need to act fast as there will likely be multiple offers by the second day.... if the lender repairs the stove pipe hole and the rest.

I just imagine the scene in the house.what a bunch of losers.I have no respect for people who destroy property and take posessions from homes.I imagine its all the banks fault too.Didnt anyone tell them that real estate doesnt always go up?The get rich quick mentality is just laughable. It's everone elses fault except theirs I'm sure.Back to renting for these folks.
