If it doesn’t make sense, why do we do it?
You can make this about real estate, or you can make it about almost anything else in life.
I’m not a golf fan, and it wasn’t my intent to catch the US Open this week, but mainly because Steve has seen that this is the only channel my television has known for the past 48 hours, I saw the Tiger Woods’ putt that tied the tournament yesterday. In response, challenger Rocko Mediate had this to say:
You can’t root against somebody. It doesn’t make sense.
I wish more of us thought this way.
With that, I am off to watch my oldest daughter graduate from high school. And to think I don’t look a day over 50!

I felt the same way, Kris. I thought that was a great thing for Mediate to say. Clearly a class act.

I’m rooting fer yew, Kris ~ even if yew is old
I’m on the tech committee for our MLS and I sure am glad we decided against your new MLS software last year when we were considering changing vendors.
(interesting that your anti-spam dealie required me to type in “wine”.
How did it know it’s Wine:30 in Boise????

more of us SHOULD think that way…..a day over 50? What in the world are you talking about?

Cari - Good to know someone else caught that. I want to etch those words into the forehead of every real estate agent (and my children, while I am at it) this morning.
Phil - Isn’t it always?
Ines - In the interest of full disclosure, October will begin my last chance at forty-something. Aargh.

Tiger lost me for a long time when he threw his club like a spoiled 12 year old. No excuse. Golf is the only game where the players call penalties on themselves and Mediate, barely in the top 200 in the world showed more class in that one statement than “the best golfer ever” with all his fist pumping boogey woogie.
No Nike for me. “It doesn’t make sense, why would you do it?” vs “Just Do It”. I’m with Mediate, clearly a man comfortable with the face in the mirror and humbly grateful for all his blessings.

Hey, y’all ~ I’ll have you know I have fond memories of “forty something”
Why did your captcha ask me to type in “cheers” this time?
Did you pick those words, Kris????

Are you’re insinuating that the folks sitting on the sidelines of the real estate market are ill-behaviored? It sounds like you’re disapointed at “prospective buyers” because we are rooting against the housing market and hoping for a fair deal. Maybe instead, we should buy an overvalued home, and be happy that the buyer and yourself were able to make such a great profit?
No thanks, “It makes alot more sense to root against you”!

Sorry for the grammatical error. I meant “Are you”

Davy,
Actually I was alluding to some of the agents I have encountered lately, but I appreciate the comment.

Kris,
Then I stand corrected and apologize.
By the way I’m going to be moving to San Diego in 6-8 months and if the market is in my range, we’ll be buying. You have my email address, so feel free to contact me.
Best Regards,
Davy

D- No need for an apology. I have a habit of being too cryptic.
